SEO Techniques to Leave Your Competition In The Dust!

Filed Under (Search Engine Optimization) by Tony Buel on 20-10-2008

by Tony Buel

When you think of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) what do you think of?

Some think of Web 2.0 and everything that goes with that.

Hubpages, Squidoo, Propeller, and other free sites may come to mind. Some marketers prefer this way of communicating with potential buyers. These are also great ways to get back links to your site.

Others have implemented strategies involving PDF distribution, software distribution, or even video distribution.

For many other marketers, submitting articles to article directories has worked well. If you can spill out words fast and get your ideas out clearly, this might be the most effective method for you.

Wordpress blogs have been in favor with marketers for a while because this technique flat out gets results. It’s a good way of staying in touch with your customers as well as keeping them updated as to what is current in your business.

These techniques work individually and depending on our strengths we tend to implement one over the other. We may dabble in one or the other but when we see results in a particlar one we tend to stick with it -after all, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

But is that really where we want to end our efforts - with what worked last? Of course we must continue to do what works, but we should also experiment.

Doing a few of these at a time tends to have a multiplying effect. One area will supplement or even magnify the results of another area. The end result could be something you would be very pleased with!

If you have been focusing your SEO efforts on Hubpages, Squidoo, Propeller, etc, you may find a great benefit in article marketing and linking these pages together for a one-two punch - each of these pages then providing a link to your money page. You could pass up your competition as a result and leave them miles behind!

Or if you have never tried videos and youtube, now may be the time to try that. In your line of business you may be able to expand your market and even cut into your competition’s market.

And if you have never tried blogging, now may be the time to do it. Search engines love unique and updated content, which is what blogging provides.

The bottom line is that any one single technique will work - up to a point. But a good overall strategy which implements multiple of these techniques is a good business strategy and worth pursuing.

Surefire Way to Get Targeted Traffic For Free

Filed Under (Article Marketing) by Henry Zeng on 19-10-2008

by Henry Zeng

Do you know there are two types of traffic? They are targeted traffic and non-targeted traffic. Targeted traffic from people who are interested in your product or service and would be more likely to spend money on what you offer.

And non-targeted traffic consists of the people who are not interested in your web pages. They will not part with their cash for what you are selling.

Obviously, it’s the targeted traffic that we’re interested in. It’s no need to try to convince the non-targeted groups into buying from you. You’ll be wasting both your time and effort.

You may also hear that most free traffic sources will give you untargeted visitors, but here I will give a surefire way to get targeted traffic for Free!

It’s a “fool proof” way to get targeted traffic & passive income. I want to warn you that the work involved is dull and boring. But it WORKS extremely well!

So how it works?

1.Do a keyword research, find keywords that are relevant for website. These keywords must be low competition that are frequently searched but do not have too many resources on the net.

2.Write your article around those keywords. Make sure your article title is unique that nobody uses your title.

One important thing with the article is keyword density. Keyword density refers to the number of times a particular word or keyword appears on a web page. A keyword density of between 3-6% is very nice.

3.Create a resource box at the end of each of your articles and put link(s) point your site. Put relevant keywords of your site in the text link(s) .

4.Submit your article to article directories. Only submit to those article sites that with high traffic and Google pr.

5.Repeat this process to make it work - YOU SHOULD WRITE AT LEAST ONE EZINE ARTICLE EVERY WEEK.

I suggest you write 3 new articles per day.

Once you have submitted your article, you can expect to show up on the first page of the results in Google within a week, and generally stay there for between 3 weeks and 2 months.

Summary

You see that you don’t need any capital to set it up - not like some of other paid ways.

But remind yourself to be consistent. Most people try something for a brief period of time, and when they don’t see results immediately, they often give up. You may be the exception. If you are, you will see dramatic results.

It is a time-consuming method, you can’t see results overnight. But it provides results for long term - you will be rewarded with free, targeted traffic for years.

Free Website Traffic — Maximize Your Link Building

Increasing free website traffic and top Google rankings are the holy grail of webmastering. While some website owners will ignore search engine optimization, most of us would rather not have to buy our traffic.

While people tend to complicate things, there are really only two primary activities that need to be performed in order to get more traffic to your site. The first is adding pages to your site, and the second is increasing the number of inpointing links to your site. Since you can never have enough links, let’s focus on a few link building tricks that require minimal additional effort on your part.

Getbookmark.com (http://www.getbookmark.com) — This tool allows you to add a page to many social bookmarking sites with just a few clicks.

You can quickly and easily increase the number of inpointing links to not only the pages on your site, but also other sites that link to yours. Use this tool to quickly bookmark select pages on your site (and others) to many SB sites at once.

Use it to boost the rankings of your link partners, articles you’ve submitted, blogs you control, and Squidoo lenses. Bookmark one of your articles and one of your pages per month and you’ll add about 1,000 links per year to your site.

The Unique Article Wizard (http://www.uniquearticlewizard.com) — You probably already know that article marketing is one of the best ways to build links and get more free website traffic. There are never any guarantees that your article will be picked up by a good site, however, and it takes a lot of time and effort.

If you’re going to be spending your time on article marketing, you want to leverage your efforts and maximize your results. The Unique Article Wizard accomplishes this by submitting your articles to hundreds of blogs, sites, and article directories.

In addition, unique versions of your articles are created that read perfectly well and help to make more of your links count. If you submit 10 articles per month, at the end of a year you’ll have an additional 10,000 or more inpointing links to your site.

Submit to RSS directories — Submitting your RSS feed to RSS directories can increase exposure and add links to your site. Fresh links are good links, and this idea can generate more free website traffic by adding fresh links to your site on a regular basis. Many of these directories will republish the snippets from your RSS feed with a link back to your site each time you post.

If you submit to 20 of these directories, you’ll get 20 additional links every time you create a new page. Build one page per week, and that’s an additional 1,040 links per year pointing back to those 52 pages.

Create a Tumblr blog (http://www.tumblr.com) — You can blog with Tumblr and point links back to your site. You can also set up your RSS feed so that every time you add a page to your site, it creates a link back to that page from Tumblr.

These techniques require minimal additional effort, and have a lasting effect on your ability to generate free website traffic. Start employing these techniques today and you’ll add hundreds of links to your website.

Is Twilight Princess a lot harder than previous titles?
According to the enemy AI programmer, the Twilight Princess development team wants to make the enemies and bosses much harder than before. Bill Trinen of NOA’s localization team also revealed during the 2006 E3 Press Conference that the Twilight Princess demo was toned down because Nintendo felt it was too hard for most gamers, and the final version will be MUCH harder.Well. it depends. There are variations and, items making an appearance for the first time in a 3D world. First is the Clawshot. It first appeared in the E3 2006 Goron Mines dungeon demo. It is essentially a combination of the Hookshot with the Grappling Hook from TWW. Next is the Bomb Arrow. It first appeared in the E3 2005 trailer.

Will the Gorons/ Zoras/Gerudos/the Shiekah species be in the Twilight Princess?
The Gorons were seen in the GDC 2005 and E3 2006 trailers, and there is official artwork of a Goron. The Zoras have not been confirmed, though EGM speculated based on an interview they would make an appearance. The Gerudo and Sheikah have not even been mentioned, although Zelda’s “robe” in the Twilight Realm has the Eye symbol with a teardrop - the Sheikah symbol from Ocarina of Time - so fans believe Sheik or the Sheikah are making a comeback. The creator’s said the title is both “obvious” and “yet creative”. Obviously, nobody knows who or what the Twilight Princess is, but it has been hinted that it is NOT Zelda.

Who died and made you Pop Culture Princess?
The nickname was coined by Lemonbugg, who once wrote a haiku calling me the Princess of Pop Culture. It stuck.

Are there any new weapons/items in the Twilight Princess?
Well.

I have a baby dragon; how do I know if it’s MLP (i.e. Spike, UK Princess Pony dragon)?
I have seen a few different vinyl baby dragons mistaken for the three known versions of G1 Spike and the six Princess Pony dragons. Note that, unlike ponies, NONE of these MLP dragons have ANY Hasbro markings. However, they do come in only one mold, are all approx. 2 inches tall, and have no hair (unlike most others that have been seen).DO NOT BOOK via Princess, or any other agency or we won’t know you are aboard.

So what game was Princess Lana from?
While some people may tell you that she was from the game Chesterfield, the truth is that she wasn’t from any game. Some people think she may have been inspired by Palutena from Kid Icarus.Yes, and this time, you can fight with your sword as well while on the horse. This was something the creators wanted in Ocarina of Time, but couldn’t implement.

How to Make PPC Advertising Effective

Filed Under (Pay Per Click) by Brian Basch on 19-10-2008

by Brian Basch

Advertising your products and services using a PPC (pay per click) campaign can be one of the most effective methods of spreading the word about your business. However, it’s vital to do this with a good plan, since doing it wrong could actually end up costing you money. Paying attention to all the details will result in a more effective PPC campaign, and will allow you to avoid all the pitfalls. Here are some great PPC tips to help you get all the benefits of this advertising method, without the downsides.

Step one is picking the right keywords. Most people think it’s best to choose an extremely common keyword. This couldn’t be further from the truth - a common keyword may get you a lot of clicks, but it’s hard to get, requiring a higher bid. On top of that, people clicking on a more general keyword are less likely to buy, since they’re probably just starting their search. The best way to get a wide, appropriate audience for the lowest cost is to use a targeted keyword phrase, also referred to as a long tail keyword.

You can experiment by typing specific phrases into Google (or even some of the competing search engines) to find phrases that give you good results. Check out some of the tools available to find good variations on specific keywords and the hundreds of viable phrases that can earn you valuable business.

Once you’re certain you’ve got a good keyword list, it’s time to design your ad. After all, even the best keywords can’t save a poor ad. You need a compelling headline to interest a potential customer, and copy that encourages him or her to click and find out more. Make sure your ad is an accurate description of your product or service, to avoid clicks that don’t lead to sales.

Your advertising copy should have a sense of urgency as well as the benefits of the products and services you offer. Letting your customer know that by responding to the ad and making a purchase will get them a special deal always acts as a sweetener. Limited time offers are an excellent choice also.

Try for a high ranking on a search page, but remember that many people click reflexively on the first-ranked ad. That could result in more sales, or more empty clicks, as visitors realize that wasn’t where they meant to go. Being high on the page is good, but if it’s a waste of resources, don’t try to be the highest. Focus on a great ad that’s well targeted to your audience, instead.

Be aware of what your competitors are doing, too. Adjusting your key words and advertising copy according to what works with them is a great idea, but you should avoid copying. Instead, find out what works best for them and try to go that step further.

PPC ads are a new and uncertain entity and careful thought needs to be put into any advertising campaign for it to succeed. The best way to do this is to make sure you know what you’re doing. Here’s to reaching your target audience, and lots of sales.
